Creamy Garlic Butter Mussels

Bring a taste of the coast to your kitchen with this simple, creamy mussel recipe. It’s rich, aromatic, and perfect for seafood lovers who enjoy quick, flavorful meals.
Ingredients
- 1 white onion, finely chopped
- 1 red onion, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp crushed garlic
- 1 tsp fish spice
- ½ tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp mixed herbs
- 500g mussels (cleaned and debearded)
- ½ cup fresh cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a large pot over low heat.
- Add both onions and sauté until soft and fragrant.
- Stir in garlic, fish spice, turmeric, and mixed herbs.
- Add mussels and toss to coat in the spices.
- Pour in the fresh cream, stir gently, and cover.
- Cook on low heat for 10 minutes, until shells open.
- Serve hot with bread or rice.
Tip: Add lemon and parsley for extra freshness.
